The issues of who owns a social media profile is an important one that has a number of implications for individuals as well as for their employers. The line between what is personal space versus what is professional or work related seems to be blurry at best.

For example, when an individual has as part of their online persona the name of their employer, their job title and current work history, does that give the impression that when they write a blog for example, that they are representing the company they work for or is it strictly their personal opinion?
